How the common treatments go

Crowns

Two to three visits. The tooth is reshaped under local anesthetic and a mould goes to the lab; you leave with a temporary crown and come back in two to three weeks for the permanent one. Porcelain is matched to the shade of the teeth beside it. Expect roughly ten to fifteen years of service with normal brushing and flossing.

Dental implants

A titanium post is placed in the jawbone and left three to six months to fuse, with a temporary crown in place so you can eat and speak normally. Then the abutment and the permanent crown. It replaces one tooth without altering the healthy teeth on either side, the way a bridge does.

Whitening and veneers

Whitening is the cheaper route and needs an exam and a cleaning first; fluoride in the gel keeps sensitivity down. Veneers are thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth in as few as two visits, and they change shape and alignment as well as color. Coffee, tea, cola and red wine will pull the brightness back out of either one.

Costs

Fees vary by case, and a consultation is the only honest way to quote one. The office submits your insurance forms and sets up a payment schedule for major treatment.

Placeholder — awaiting the practice Starting prices for a new-patient exam, a cleaning, a crown and a single implant. Published ranges are the single strongest differentiator available to this practice, and no competing dentist in Lake Grove publishes any.

Book an exam

Which treatment applies depends on what the exam finds. That is the place to start.
